1 Month and 51 years

Dad turned 51 years young on the 12th! This was his first birthday as a Grandpa and I think he looks great! Ryker and I went over that night and enjoyed his good company and also watched the bucket list. We get to celebrate again and again all this weekend :) I love that they only live 8 minutes away now!

One month down.....

Newborns sure are a lot of work! Until recently Ryker did 4 things, sleep, eat, poop and cry. Finally he's been able to hang out and look around for the last week or so and it lasts longer than a minute. It's been fun to have staring contests and talk to him as he's calm. Every once in a while he'd have a calm day, but now it's almost every day and it's been great. He's also getting a little better at falling asleep on his own and he's been doing great at night....or at least as great as a newborn can be. I get excited when he goes down for a whole 3 hours in a row before he's hungry again. It's amazing how I get excited about getting 3 hours of sleep in a row isn't it? Unfortunately I worry a little with how I finally got him to sleep on his own for longer than 15 minutes. I know all the books say back is best, but this kid won't sleep on his back :( So I've been putting him on his belly and everyone has been happier since. He's a strong little chubby baby! He can lift is head great now and hold it really steady. The movement of his arms and legs are a lot smoother too. He still gets his little lower lip to quiver and I need to catch it on camera since I read that it doesn't last. I tried weighing him on my scale with me and it read 13.5 pounds! Then we tried it at my parents and it was 12 pounds....so I'm curious to know how much this little dude actually weighs in for his 1st month of life. He has a check up in a month so we'll at least we'll have it acurate then. At 2 weeks he weighed in at 10.3 lbs and was in the 99th percentile so he's been gaining weight steadily since his birth weight of 9 lbs.

Going back to work after 3 weeks was easier than I thought. If I didn't have a loving family to leave him with during the day it would be a lot harder. The sleep thing is hard when he has a bad night but other than that it's been working out great. It's been tough to leave work at 5:30, every day I feel like I'm leaving things undone. So far I've only let one major thing slip though and life goes on. It sucks that this is the busiest time of year for me besides the summer but it'll slow down a lot in January.

Here's some pictures of Ryker at 1 month. I was planning on doing the whole tshirt thing each month like my cousin Deborah but I have had no luck with the iron on transfers! So next month I think I'll try another way to document 2 months.

Baby's First Halloween & Golden Bday

So Seth and I didn't have the time or the energy to find ourselves some costumes for Halloween but I at least managed to dress up Ryker! I guess it's not really a costume but just a Halloween themed outfit. Either way it made me giggle! Grandma Kleman sent this cute little ghost hat and ghost booties

Seth's Golden Birthday was yeterday! He turned 30 on the 30th!
I forgot to take some photo's though.....bummer!
I sent him on a treasure hunt which took him to the place we met, got married, fav restaurant, etc and at the end of the hunt he got the long awaited present that he's been longing for....a PS3! His friends and my family chipped in for it and he's been pretty excited about it. After the hunt we just hung out with our super friends, ate pizza and talked. It was my first experience not having a babysitter! lol! Good thing we're a laid back couple and enjoy just hanging around with good company.
Another thing to mention is that his mom sent him a box of goodies for his birthday and my favorite thing was that she sent him 30 "gold" coins for his birthday, ....how clever! (They're the $1 coins that you can get).
Happy 30th Birthday Honey! XOXO

Still not a lot of time to write about this little guy and how he came into the world so I thought I would post some pictures that I took a week after he was born and some updates. I'm also excited to be able to post the ones that my cousin Deborah took too (she did a great job!).
Ryker had his two week appointment yesterday. He's a whopping 10 pounds and 3 oz which put's him in the 99% percentile for his age. What a chunky little monkey! He's healthy as can be too and definitely isn't a picky eater. He doesn't like to be put down for long and while he's held he needs a new position every few minutes to keep him occupied. I've been trying to get him to sleep on his own but so far it only lasts 15 minutes at a time which is wearing. Hence, not a lot of time to do anything. I feel lucky when I get a shower :o)
Ry loves to look at faces and also random pictures on the walls. He lifts his head and looks around pretty well too! He's got a strong little neck and upper body!
He does sleep pretty well at night these days which is blessing for his tired mom and dad. After he wakes every 2 hrs to eat, he quickly goes back to sleep. Days are a different matter though. I don't know how anyone handles anything with a newborn, besides the baby. Kudos to all you mom's out there!

Our Sweet Baby Boy - Born Oct. 12, 2009

Ryker Ridley Awesome Kleman
Born at 4:33 AM on Monday, October 12, 2009
9 pounds, 21 1/4 inches long

Ryker and the New Daddy
Day Two
Day Four
I have so many pictures to post that it's so hard to choose which ones!
We are sooo excited to have this little dude with us. It feels like I've waited forever and I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful little child and an adoring and supportive husband.
Even though it's overwhelming with a newborn I can't imagine life without him already.
I think there's definitely some resemblance of both Seth and I in him, but all his own good looks. :o) It's amazing how much he changes each and everyday already.
I'll have to post his birthday story among others things shortly but the little guy is calling....

October 5th

Birthday's are a lot more exciting when you're turning 6! I think Breeanna sure did enjoy hers this last Monday. Since everyone else was at work it was just me and Bree to start out the day. After trying to decide what she wanted for her birthday breakfast for two hours she finally decided on "those thing with holes in them, and they're square". Yum, waffles!

Later in the week Seth and I needed a distraction from not going into labor so we packed a picnic and headed up the canyon to see the autumn leaves. It was a beautiful drive! I couldn't believe how much snow there already was though, even though it was pretty it was a little sad to think summer's at an end and fall soon will be too. I know all my snowboarder friends are excited though! Sean said they've already been up a couple of times and kind of piled snow to board on, lol. Talk about excited!
Picture of Ryker's much too cozy home along for the ride. Even a few minutes of off roading didn't get things started!

40 weeks and 6 days. I've had a few contractions here and there, at one point they were 12 minutes apart but then they stopped. Talk about dissapointment! The baby is using my pelvis as a trampoline (ouch), I'm swollen everywhere and had to take off my wedding ring, and my belly has dropped really low that everytime I get up and walk around there is a lot of pressure. This little guy is also really active at night (uh-oh) and he keeps stretching so that he can make some more room for himself or something. It's such an amazing thing to be able to feel his whole foot sliding along and now I can easily feel his legs too. It's such an amazing journey! I can't believe this little person is ready to come out into the real world! It feels like it was just a few weeks ago that that he was the size of a lentil! It's amazing how much you can love someone that you've never even met before.

The Homestretch

Ahhhh the homestretch...... Did you know it's only a 5% chance that your baby will be born on your due date? Which is a little disappointing in many ways for me but one of those reasons is that I really did like the idea of and sound of October 3rd. It was the date in my head for a good 9 months and it seems like THE day to look forward to like a Birthday or a Holiday. But now it's come and gone. Oh well. I looked it up yesterday and on average a woman's first baby comes at 40 weeks and 5 days. So if I could be "average" that will be this Wednesday. Besides really really wanting to meet this little guy that's getting so big my belly feels bruised in some places I wanted him to come at the beginning of October so I'd have more time to spend with him before I have to go back to work at the end of the month. So yes, purely selfish reasons.....kinda :o)
Everyone keeps telling me he'll come when he comes and I want him to be healthy. I also need to keep reminding myself that my body needs to be ready too and not to rush things. Boy! What a waiting game! My biggest wish is that I don't want him to come tomorrow! Oct 5th is my sister Breeanna's 6th birthday as well as my Uncle Mikes bday. Since we love to celebrate in this family I really want them to have different days to celebrate. So let's cross our fingers for Oct 6, 7 or 8!

I'm at the point where I'm down to 2 shirts to cover my belly. In everything else I get my belly butt hanging out, lol. Here's a picture to document..and to make me laugh....
Emily and I went to the mall and got a pedicures and walked around (everyone likes to remind me that walking is supposed to help get things going). Here's my pretty little sausage toes.....at least they'll look good after giving birth, as for the rest of me......Emily was also a sweetheart and used some acupressure points that's supposed to relax the right areas. My favorites were of course the feet, what 9 month pregnant gal doesn't like her feet rubbed? She said the last gal that she did it for went into labor within 24 hours, but alas, it seems I'm not so lucky since I just passed 24 hour mark.

This is a 1922 cabinet that Seth's mom gave us. Seth's been refinishing it since February and it looks great now that it's done!

Complete with a monkey nightlight!

Now all we need is a baby to go in the baby's room....

Here's the before picture:

And here's a pic of how big the baby's supposed to be:

Autumn

Awwwww, the first day of Autumn! I love it! My favorite time of year and what makes it even better is that my little boy will be born soon and I get to celebrate my husbands birthday at the end of next month (yes, honey, I love celebrating you!). I need to dig out my sweaters, yay!

So no matter what my dad thinks I love having my family stay with me. They're in-between houses right now since they sold their Sandy home and are in the process of purchasing this GORGEOUS house in Riverton that is over the top nice.
It takes some adjustment living with a 6 year old and adding two cats to the mix but all is well. Gracie on the other hand was just getting used to all the different noises and was calming down when she finally figured out there was a cat outside due to Colby's meowing. Ugh. Up until this weekend Gracie had no idea that we had two furry felines bunking in the basement. But when Colby was banished from the Kleman Kingdom for marking his territory, no one has been happy since. Luckily he didn't hang around last night meowing and driving Gracie crazy so I think all of us finally got some sleep. Would a muzzle for a dog be considered cruel? I was about to banish the dog too when she woke me up for the 6th time Sunday night. But last night all was quiet so hopefully that continues.

Also, how could I not love having roommates that mow and edge my lawn AND even pull an acre of weeds?? I don't think my lawn has ever looked so good! Somehow I need to figure out how to get Dad to stay longer.... :o)

Here's my 38-39 week pic, my belly has dropped a little and the doc says I'm progressing normally for my first but she's going to help me along with a simple (but painful) procedure next week. I think this picture looks like I stuffed a bowl under my shirt or a pillow! I can't believe how big bellies get growing babies.

Week 37/38 Pic

Almost to the end! It's getting really really really uncomfortable!

Seth took me out on a nice date tonight :o) We went to the brand new Olive Garden at the District and then to look at new phones (I couldn't commit yet) then somehow he talked me into going back to work to watch a movie. 9 is a strange movie but I guess it was still entertaining - though those seats are NOT comfortable when you're having painless contracts and a little 7-8 pound baby is kicking your insides. Olive Garden was really full with people! It was 5:30 on a Thursday too. Our waiter said that it was slow compared to other days, wow! Good thing they built a VERY large restaurant in South Jordan, they must have known how much we love our Olive Gardens. Seth and I even splurged and got a yummy Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert! I haven't had such a delicious dinner in a long time. Thanks honey!

Here's a pic from work. I couldn't reach my files on my desk for some reason....

BaBy-Q on Sept 5th

Where has the time gone?! I can't believe it's been a week and a half since the Baby Shower! Emily threw a GREAT party at the Gammell's on Sept 5th. Seth and I were overwhelmed with everyone's generosity! What fun and cute presents! It meant so much to me that all our friends and family were there and were able to celebrate Rykers soon-to-be arrival. Emily also planned some fun games and also had a "mini" theme for food. It was so sweet of her to put all of that together! Seth and I are so lucky to have such good friends! I just wish I would have remembered to take a picture of all her cute decorations in the house!

On Friday, Sept 4th my awesome cousin Deborah came over to take some pregnancy pictures for me. I felt a little funny posing for the camera but had a good time and I'm soooooooo appreciative of her and her time! I can't wait to see them all! Hopefully I don't look to "whaleish" in them. I don't even recognize myself anymore. I'm so ready to meet this little dude and to stop waddling around like a hippo. I didn't expect it to be easy but jeez!

Work Munchkin Luncheon

So you tell your guests just to come to lunch, no presents necessary, and what do you end up with?... lots of generous presents. I really wasn't expecting that! It was so sweet of everyone! I have to admit that it is fun to "ooooh" and "ahhhh" over cute little booties and little baby clothes....

Note to Self....

Note to self....when you decide to go camping while 8.5 months pregnant make sure that your air mattress does not have any leaks before you leave.
Seth was kind enough to offer to pack up and go home (he didn't even see my tears when I found out about the leak) but I thought I'd try to tough it out. It was almost midnight and everyone was settled in and I was super tired. It wasn't as terrible as I thought, but not comfortable in the least. Seth actually got even less sleep than I did. Poor guy had a rock under him or something even after trying to rearrange things. I sure do miss my youth when it was no big deal sleeping on the cold hard ground. Next time I'm bringing a backup! The cool fresh air and good company made up for all the discomfort though. Emily, Garr, Danielle, Ang, Seth and myself made it up the canyon this time.

Cool photo that Seth took of the fire.

Danielle and I making Hobo dinners off the back end of the truck (since sooooomeone forgot to pack the folding table). The foil dinners turned out delish! Potatoes and onions from my garden, carrots, portobello mushrooms, ground beef patties with steak seasoning and cream of mushroom soup with roasted garlic. yum yum

Thought I would throw this pic in since Seth thought it was funny that I was using my belly as a cup holder at breakfast. It also looked like I was shoveling my food in with the spatula (I was just picking yummy bits off, .....really). Breakfast was a one pot meal: Breakfast Hash. I haven't done this one before but I've been lucky enough to eat it at other camp out trips.
20-25 oz frozen hash browns
5-6 TB oil
small onion chopped
1/2 cupped chopped bell pepper (I used some multi colored frozen strips)
1 tsp dried minced garlic
14-16 sausage links, heat and serve (pre-cooked) cut into chunks
9 eggs
1 1/4 sharp cheddar cheese
salt and pepper (I needed a lot of salt on mine)
I heated my dutch oven over the coals (really hot) and added a tablespoon of oil. Then added the onion, peppers and garlic (I prechopped these at home and brought in a baggie) for a few minutes, then added a little more oil and the hash browns. I would flip and stir the hash browns every few mintes while trying to get them to brown. I had to add oil to the bottom every now and then so things wouldn't stick. Once the hash browns were browned and yummy I shoveled them to the side and added the sausage chucks and browned them for a few minutes too, stirring a few times. Then stirred eveything together and moving it to the side again. Meanwhile I had cracked 9 eggs in a cup, added salt and pepper and then once everything is to the side (again) I cooked the scrambled eggs until they're almost done and then stirred everything together. I took the oven off the coals and spread the cheese out over the top, put the lid back on for a minute and wala....all done.
It was even better than the hobo dinners the night before! Not very easy on the waist but boy oh boy did it hit the spot! I love one pot meals while camping! I took a picture that morning but it doesn't do it justice so I'm not going to post it. It's one of those things that tastes A LOT better than it looked.

Today, August 24th....
Seth and I did something that we've NEVER done together before!....We went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner! Seth doesn't like chinese food and it's not something I have to have like italian food so needless to say we had never been in the last 6-7 years. Well Seth wanted to have a "dry-run" at it since he's going out with clients for a chinese food dinner this Thursday. We hit a well recommended place called China Chef's and overall we were pleased. The appetizer sampler was great! Anything that has a mini firepit in the middle has to be good, right? The rest was very good quality and Seth didn't make any choking noises as he chewed and swallowed everything. So he must have thought it was decent too. We do have a ton of left-overs in the fridge but their portions were huge!

Week 33.5

Yea! Only 6 more weeks to go (fingers crossed already for 5)! I can't believe how fast he's growing now. It's really taken me by surprise. I can feel pretty much every roll, stretch (ow) and nudge. My ribs on my right side feel bruised but nothing I can complain about too much. The Braxton Hicks contractions are a little annoying, I can't move around much when everything tightens up, but I'm told they're good practice for the real thing......which is JUST AROUND THE CORNER!! .....wow

Italian Cheesesteak Sandwich

I finally cooked something! I haven't been able to bring myself to cook much lately but I had an INTENSE craving for a gooey yummy philly cheesesteak today!

I ended up with something between a Philly Cheesesteak and a French Dip. Here's what I did...

Italian Cheesesteak Sandwich
Serves 2

1/2 pound Italian Style Roast Beef, shaved thin from deli
4 slices White American Cheese
2 Wheat Hoagie Rolls from bakery
4 tsp Au Jus Mix (or half of packet)
1 cup water
1/2 tsp Oregano, dried
1/4 tsp Basil, dried
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 clove garlic
Few Grinds of Black Pepper
small green pepper, thinly sliced
small yellow onion, thinly sliced
1/2 package of sliced mushrooms
1 Tb olive oil
1 Tb butter
Thinly slice pepper and onion and set aside. Crack clove of garlic with the side of a knife and add to a small saucepan. Add 1 cup of water, au jus mix, oregano, basil, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and bring to a simmer over medium-low heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and turn heat down to low. In a large saute pan over medium high heat add oil, once the oil's hot add peppers and onion, saute for a few minutes and move to side of the pan. Add butter and then once melted add mushrooms. Saute all veggies until tender and slightly browned (stirring occasionally) and add a few shakes of salt. Spoon 5-6 spoonfuls of au jus broth over veggies and stir and then turn off heat after 20 seconds or so.

Turn oven to broil and lay a piece of foil over a cookie sheet. Split hoagie rolls and place on cookie sheet. Split veggies over both rolls and then add beef leaving the broth in the pan. Lay 2 slices of cheese over both sandwiches and then broil for only 45 seconds or so,....make sure to watch! The cheese burns fast! Pour extra broth into a separate bowl and serve with sandwiches. Yum!
Took me about 45 minutes or so.
Seth loved these, he was disappointed that there weren't seconds!
On a side note - there's a new poll to the right for Ryker's middle name. Only 6 more weeks to go!

30 pound baby

So besides feeling like I'm going to deliver a 30 pound baby.... this day just got worse. I'm sitting in the back of my dad's car and I feel a stabbing pain in my thigh! A stupid black and yellow wasp falls to the floor and I realize that I just got stung by the thing. OUCH!!! It freakin HURT! The crazy thing is I just got stung by a bee in my yard last Sunday morning on the arch of my foot and the swelling is just now going down even though it itches like hell. I haven't been stung by anything since 2002! That's 7 years! Good grief! So now besides getting depressed looking at the scale as I'm 30-35 pounds heavier (I swear I'm having a 30 pound baby), having my sweetie gone for two weeks, Ryker bruising my ribs from some actual somersaults, swollen appendages from water retention....I now get stung TWICE in 4 days! Jeez. No fair. Hopefully this weekend will turn out better.....

~~UPDATE: Well, I had an allergic reaction to the wasp sting and my whole thigh is swollen, red and itchy. Since my OB is just down the road I ran in to make sure Baby Ryker isn't having an allergic reaction too and luckily there's no sign of distress and his heartbeat is perfect.~~

I do have to mention how much I love my new dress though. It's my version of a muu-muu! Definition: "A rectangular cloth that hangs from the shoulders worn by obese persons (or pregnant persons)"

Every pregnant gal deserves one. Nothing tight or uncomfortable and it keeps you cool! I wear it whenever I can and its great!
I was going to have Seth take a pic of it when he got back but I wore it with a sweater type thing to a friends wedding this last Saturday and John (another friend) snapped a photo. Where in the world did my waist go???

That's Shelly standing with me. She looked gorgeous as a bridesmaid! (I think I'm allowed to hate skinny people for the next 2 months.....j/k shelly!)

More udpates, 7 going on 8 months

THE BIG NEWS OF THE YEAR...beside baby Ryker......
They're starting a new contract with Piper Jaffrey at Unisys and they asked Seth to head up the service desk transition. I'm just so ecstatic that he'll be working 7 to 4pm instead of the grave shift they were about to move him too! Also that it’s puts him a great position to learn even more and it may open more doors for him. Yipee! Way to go honey! They flew him out to Minnesota last Sunday for two weeks to meet the clients and to start the setup process and I miss him sooooo much! I don’t think we’ve ever been apart this long, it's been tough. Luckily my parents and friends have been keeping me busy.
Mom and Dad sold their house! Yeah! So I’ve been touring houses with them all week. Some of them are literally 2 minutes from my house! I feel so lucky that I’m going to have them so close to me :o) Family is the most important thing to me in the world and to have my parents so close while Seth and I start our own little family means so much!

I totally forgot to post this earlier in the month! Ang started working at my theatre at the box office! Doesn't she look adorable?!

7 going on 8 months
A few notes to myself and anyone that's interested...
1. Must Haves: Chocolate Chex Cereal, lot's of water, ice cream, a surplus of pillows in bed and Vanilla Chai Soy Milk.
2. Aversions: mean people, stairs, the sun (this one is really odd for me, my garden is suffering) and high heels.
3. Things to mention:
- Things dropped on the floor often stay left on the floor. haha
- Some days my belly's tight and it's really hard to move around and others it's not at all and I barely notice I'm preggo
- Baby moves a ton....when the doctor asked me about if I started fetal kick counts, 6 in an hour a few times I day I was surprised that was all! When he starts moving and karate chopping it's more like 20 times! As time progresses he's been moving less and less, it's more rolls and stretches since he's running out of leg room.
- The baby has hiccups every couple of days. Lately I can even see my belly move with each hiccup. They last anywhere from a minute to 5 minutes. Unfortunately so far no one has been able to witness it. I can easily tell that he's moved down since his hiccups are very low in my belly, they kinda tickle sometimes....
- I walked up the two flights of stairs at work the other day and my legs burned and I was breathing heavy! I can't tell you how many times I used to walk up and down those stairs without a problem! My lungs are scrunched up now too with my growing belly so I lose my breathe pretty easily.
- I have two really energetic days where I get a ton done and am in really good spirits and then one day of exhaustion and a general yucky feeling where I can't do anything but sit on the couch. It's a stupid cycle that I don't care for much that keeps happening at work and on the weekends.
- My doctor asked about any pains or contractions, I told her that one Saturday afternoon I felt like I had a "side cramp" across my whole belly,....I was just thinking growing pains but she said that was a contraction! Huh, for some reason I thought a contraction would feel differently. Maybe they feel different the closer you get to term?
- Last but not least!..... I am so excited to have a little boy! All the little boy clothes and boy toys keep calling my name! I think I would even be happy to end up with two boys eventually but a little girls sounds fun too.

Wednesday, 8/5/09
Out house hunting with my parents we came across this structure in the backyard of one of the Daybreak homes…..
It took us few minutes to figure out what it was! I first thought it was a waterfall feature but as we got closer we found out that there was a hot tub inside the cave (the black hole)! Haha! It also had a little pool and a short slide on the right. We all wondered who in the world would want to sit inside this man made cave in a hot tub outside,…you wouldn’t be able to see the stars! Well, I started cracking up because I knew who would LOVE it! Seth! So I took this pic and sent it over to him and of course he loved it! But no….I don’t want a spa-cave any time soon in my backyard… :o)

Friday, 8/7/09
I got out of the shower this morning and thought I heard a neighbor mowing their lawn until Gracie started barking. My dad was out in my yard! He said he just happened to be in the neighborhood looking at houses and had his mower in the back of the truck… haha. It was such a load off of my shoulders and I really really appreciated it! Thank you Dad! You’re the best!

Today, 8/9/09
The weather has been so nice a cool after all the heat that we’ve had so I told myself that I didn’t have an excuse anymore and that I needed to get out in the yard. I had some weeds around the firepit and on the side of the house that were taller than me! Last year I had to spray and spray and pull and pull to keep them under control but this year I haven’t been able to be out in the sun, didn’t want to be around such harsh chemicals and I frankly haven’t had the energy (growing a baby takes a lot out of you! More than I ever thought!). Besides getting a bee sting on my foot, it was a productive morning. Now I just can’t move much….ugh.
The “clearance” limelight hydrangea is in full bloom and it’s gorgeous! Seth took the camera with him on his trip so my camera phone pic will have to do…. With the storm that blew in the cold front it blew some of the sunflowers over so I clipped them and now I’m enjoying them inside on my kitchen table.

The Kleman's and the Beanstalk

Next time you see "GIANT Sunflower" seeds at the store you should totally pick them up! They can grow up to 16 feet! Mine are almost there!

Money saving project and baseball

Here's one of my projects that I worked on this last weekend. It was one of those cute decal's online that you can purchase and then put on your wall like a sticker. This one was 40 or 50 bucks.....guess how much it cost me?....zero! All I did was borrow a projector (thanks Dad!), direct it at the wall and then paint! I think it turned out pretty nice!

My next project for the baby's room is painting a tree by the diaper changing table. I can't decide between a large tree from floor to ceiling OR if I want to paint a little jungle scene with some cute animals (another idea from a decal). Hmmmm.....

Monday I went to my first Salt Lake Bee's game! It was a bachelor party to celebrate Adam's (friend from work) upcoming wedding in August. I have to say that it is a veeeeery slow game to watch. If I didn't have Julie and others there to chat with I would have been bored to tears!

My first "dog" at a baseball game (it's really just a brat since I don't like hot dogs).
I passed on the peanuts and cracker jacks....but I did get to sing the song in the 7th inning!

Husbands and 29/30 week pic

Something I have to document.....
So I was texting Seth this morning about how I called too late for the third trimester classes at the hospital. They're all booked up for the hospital that we're going to but they do have one over at Alta that's one all day class. After Seth agreed to give up his Saturday in September for it I mentioned that I still would like a tour at IMC so that we know where we're going and what we can expect. Here's his exact response: "Eh. We go. They say follow the yellow line. I pass out and wake up to a baby. Wheel you to the car and done." I laughed and laughed until I had tears in my eyes. I told him that hopefully they'll roll his unconscious form close enough to my bed so that I can hold his hand. haha....

I've been avoiding buying baby things for years and years ever since I hit puberty. Every once in a while I'd buy a cute Elmo movie for the kids that I would nanny and my future kids but now I don't even have a VHS player to play them! So for the last 7-8 years I've been very careful not to buy things so I don't waste money. So it's been a TON of fun looking and actually buying all those cute things I run across now that we have a baby on the way!!! Here's one that I love! It's a cute little monkey backpack and harness! (Yes, I have no problem leashing my walking toddler while we're out and about. Little kids are FAST!) Then I couldn't help but buy a cute little outfit that says "I love Daddy", I've also found a "My grandma loves me" that I couldn't resist.

Here's my 29/30 week picture of my growing belly and baby. I can't believe we still have another 2 months of growing, jeez. Baby Ryker is moving and karate chopping my insides every few hours. I suppose he's getting some good exercise in there and some good practice for walking one day. A lot of the time after I roll over in bed or sit down he reminds me of a little puppy rolling around or wiggling in to get comfortable in the new position. It always makes me smile.

2 weeks worth of posts

I can't believe how fast and how busy the last two weeks went! I had to look at my blog to even see what week I'm in since I couldn't remember! That's the first time since I've been pregnant that I didn't know. Week 29....a butternut squash

After month's of planning Harry Potter 6, opening weekend is FINALLY over! The theatres rocked the numbers too! Nationally: Jordan Commons was number #1 opening day, The District was #2, Gateway #3 and Thanksgiving Point #15 opening day! They were still in the top 40 for opening weekend too! I'm so happy to have Harry Potter behind me, I had 23 events between Tuesday and Saturday and two reeaaally long days. My feet hurt! Luckily I had some rest between my biggest days and now that it's over I'll hopefully get a rest from all the drama too.

Last Saturday, Seth and I took Samantha (Seth's little sister) to the Living Planet Aquarium and then we went to Riverton's Demolition Derby. The aquarium was a little small but it was still neat.
It took 5 minutes of convincing but Samantha finally touched the sting ray! What a girl! I couldn't even get Seth too. I wish there were starfish too like they have at Sea World, that was was an awesome experience last summer. They even had dolphin's that you could feed and touch! So obviously I tried to keep my disappointment in-check at our little aquarium here in SLC. They have plans for a huge complex down the road but they need to come up with some more $$.Even though Seth isn't smiling in this picture I'm still posting it. :o) I begged him to take another photo but he was being to much of a grump so this is what he gets. Make sure to give him a hard time about his goofy face so maybe next time he'll smile when I want a group pic :o)
After the aqurium we went over to the Demolition Derby in Riverton. Seth perked up a little more at that point :o) He had a blast even though he kept mentioning "how redneck" it was, lol. Here's some pic's:
Seth waiting for his burger
Sam and I shared some cotton candy! I can't even remember the last time I had it!

My view.....
Between working and.....working..... I finally completed mom's 50th Birthday present! A scrapbook of at least the last 35 years! I failed to get some baby photo's but let me tell you, even 35 years is a lot to document! My kitchen table was a MESS with all the paper, stickers and photo's - Seth was very patient and understanding. I think I saw it like I see making my bed,....why clean it up when you're just going to be using it again tomorrow.

Thursday night mom hosted her 3rd bday party at her house (I missed the other 2 because of work) and I was able to give it to her. I'm pretty sure she liked it.
Happy 50t
h Mom! You look as young and beautiful as ever! And I should know! I've looked at your photo's for hours on end!

Sunday we celebrated Angela's 18th birthday! I was lucky enough to have everyone come to my house for this one. We grilled up some steak and chicken skewers, grilled corn, fruit salad, roasted red potatoes and threw some fresh pineapple on the grill for a special treat to eat with cake. Yum yum!
Ryker gave Mom a good kick during dinner! He was saying "hello grammy!" He's been doing somersaults in there for the last couple of weeks. And he keeps kicking and knocking on my ribs, I wish I had a longer torso so he'd have some more room in there! It's amazing to think we still have another 2 months of growing!
Justin and Sherry weren't able to make it :o(
